Do you take table bookings/reservations?

Yes we do but… Only for parties of 8 +


Do you sell gluten free food/bread/cakes?

Unfortunately nothing on the Bakesmiths site can be considered gluten free. We do have NGCI (non gluten containing ingredients) products but as a small bakery we are unable to stop cross contamination.


Do you have a car park/where is your nearest car park?

There is limited parking in front and in the bus lane (between 1000-1630). There is an NCP just 3 mins walk at Clifton Down Shopping centre.


Do you have any high chairs?

Yes we have two available on a first come first served basis.


Can I sit in the meeting room?

The meeting room can only be used when booked in advance.


Do you have access to WiFi?

Yes we have free WiFi for paying customers. The password is on the bottom of receipts.


Do you allow dogs?

We love dogs however we are unable to allow them in, as we have an open kitchen.


Do you have a children’s menu?

We do not have a set children’s menu at present however we are happy to accommodate.


Do have disabled access?

Unfortunately we do not have disabled access or facilities due to the location of the facilities and our open style kitchen.


Are you a “Real Bakery”?

How rude… Don’t tell Steve!   We are proud of being the only real bakery in Clifton, we make fresh breads from scratch using our own sourdough ferments – unlike others we don’t buy in and pretend 😉

 

Meeting room FAQ’s

I am hosting a meeting/party can I bring my own food/drinks?

Outside food cannot be consumed on the premises. Exceptions – cookery/baking classes, photoshots or supper club/pop up restaurant (pre agreed – latter two would be evening events only)


Can you discount the hire costs?

We believe our rates to be very competitive therefore, unfortunately, we cannot discount the price.


What does the room hire cost include?

Complementary filter coffee, tea making facilities and water and use of the screen and flip chart.


Do you have a projector/sound equipment?

We have a 36” TV which laptops can be connected to with HDMI or VGA cable (customer will need to provide cables). We also have a flipchart.


What is the maximum capacity?

20 people.


Can I get a refund in the case of cancellation?

Room Hire needs to be paid in full online to secure a booking. The booking can be refunded if there is a cancellation within 24 hours of the payment being received. After this time a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.


Can we set up early?

There maybe a small window of opportunity to set up early (15mins by arrangement) however the room requires a full clean and replenish between sessions so this is not always possible.


Can we use the cafe area as overspill?

The cafe area cannot be used unless pre agreed – use of the cafe side will incur extra costs due to loss of business.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
